How-To Test if your PC/Mac Can Play a Game (Can Your Computer Run it?)

Does my computer meet the minimum requirements to play the game? Can I run it? Will my PC / Mac run the game fast or slow? Even if I meet the minimum requirements needed to run the game will it be best to upgrade my CPU, Graphics / Video card or both to play the game smoothly at high resolutions and with good graphics /visual settings?
Every time I hear of a cool, new computer game that is coming out soon

he questions above are the first thoughts that rush through my head. Those thoughts are constantly in my head until I read the official minimum and recommended systemrequirements for that new, must-havecomputer game. I then compare the requirements to my computer specs (processor, RAM and graphics/video card). I analyze and over-analyze how my PC will run that hot, new game. Yeah, I know, I’m a freak, LOL. I have been a computer gamer since the 90s and will probably be one until the day I die.
To simplify the process there are a few sites that analyze your computer for free. They compare your system specifications to the minimum required (and sometimes recommended specs) of that must-have game you plan to buy. Usually within a minute the site will tell you if you can run it. I created the video tutorial below to simplify that process.
Here is just a VERY SHORT LIST of Games it tests for…
Call of Duty: Black Ops, Fallout: New Vegas, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Starcraft 2. The Sims 3, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, Mafia II, Empire: Total War, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Star Wars: The Old Republic, BioShock 2, APB, Star Trek Online, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker, Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising, Just Cause 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Civilization V, FIFA 11.

In the following How-To Test if your PC/Mac Can Play a Game (Can Your Computer Run it?) video tutorial I will take you step-by-step and you will easily learn the following…
1. How-To properly download and update “Java” on your computer (you will need Java to test your computer)
2. How-To test your computer for free to see if it meets the minimum requirements of almost any game.
3. What the chart looks like when your computer passes the minimum game requirements and what it looks like when it does not pass the minimum game requirements.
